Originally hailing from the Dominican Republic, Bachata has undergone a serious facelift over the years to evolve into a sensual, smooth dance.

Bachata is danced with soft hip movements and a tap with a small "pop" with the hip on the 4th beat . It can be danced with or without a bounce (moving the body down on the beats and up again in between the beats by a slight spring movement in the legs).

Modern Bachata evolved in Europe in 2005 and consists of the Traditional Style Bachata adding dance techniques and styling from Salsa, Tango and Zouk.
Bachata Moderna is growing in popularity and it's used for both social and competition dancing.
We employ a blend of traditional and moderna moves in our classes so that you get the whole package!
